Paying for Online Games

Online-paid games are the only games where Furbol moves money. Cash games and free games don’t touch your wallet — you pay the host in person (or not at all), and Furbol stays out of it.

Everything below applies to online pay method games only.

When you book a spot

Booking an online-paid game creates a payment record against your wallet. The amount starts at zero and gets filled in once your booking settles alongside any other online-paid games you already have that day (see Same-Day Booking).

The first time you book an online game on a given day, the money earmarked for that game shows up as pending in your wallet. You can still see it in your balance, but it’s no longer free to spend elsewhere.

If you’ve booked more than one online game on the same day

Furbol doesn’t hold a separate fee for each of them. It holds one fee — the highest among your same-day online games — and attaches it to whichever of those games has the highest fee. The others in that same day carry a zero pending amount.

This way, if two of your same-day online games would collide (they both hit quorum or you confirm one), you aren’t double-paying: when one game drops off, the other inherits the hold cleanly.

When you leave a game

If you unbook an online-paid game before it’s over, Furbol releases the pending amount back to your available balance. No fee is lost.

If the game has already finished, the money has moved on to the host and won’t come back. This is rare in practice — you’d only be “unbooking” after the fact for record-keeping reasons.

When the game is played

Once kick-off has passed and the game plays out, the pending amount moves from you to the host. It still isn’t cashable by the host right away — see Host Earnings for what happens on their side.

What this means in practice

  • You only pay once per day’s football, at most. Even if you’re booked into two online games on the same day, you won’t see two fees held.
  • Leaving early costs you nothing as long as you leave before the game ends.
  • Free and cash games never appear in your wallet — those are settled at the pitch.
