Playing Requirements
Before Furbol lets you join games, it checks two things:
1. Your pass status
You’re allowed to join games if you’re still on the trial, or if you’ve got an active pass.
- During the trial, you can join games freely until you’ve used up your trial games.
- Once the trial is done, you need an active pass. See Trial and Pass.
- If you’re in the “trialed but no pass” state (trial used up, pass expired or never bought), you can’t join new games until you renew.
2. Your connections
You need to have at least a minimum number of connections — people you’re mutually linked to on Furbol, either via phone contacts or an in-app add.
This minimum exists because Furbol games are friend-of-friend by design: when you join a game, you’re playing with people one step away from you. A brand-new account with no contacts is kept out until the network around it has taken shape.
- The minimum kicks in from sign-up. Adding contacts or accepting connections pushes you past the threshold.
- Guests don’t need their own connections. If a friend places you as a guest (or pre-registers you before you’ve signed up), the friend takes the roster spot on your behalf — your connection count isn’t checked.
What happens if you don’t meet the requirements
You can still sign in, fill out your profile, browse games, and see what’s happening. What you can’t do is book a spot until both checks pass.
