Furbol

Join football games near you.

Someone around you is putting together a game right now. Furbol gets you a spot in it — or lets you run the game yourself.

Free for your first five games. Then a 6-month pass — the price of two Big Macs.

A floodlit five-a-side pitch at golden hour, players mid-game

1,240 games played in 38 cities by 9,500 players in the last 30 days.

How it works

  1. Browse games near you

Open the map. See every game around you — where, when, how many spots are left.

    Finding games →
  2. Book a spot

Tap the game, tap book. Your spot is held. You can pay online or at the field, depending on how the host set it up.

    How to join →
  3. Show up and play

Confirm you're coming on game day. The host takes the roll call. The game kicks off.

For hosts

Host a game people actually show up to

Running a game is a pain on group chats. Furbol does the coordination — quorum, confirmations, payment, roll call — so you run the game, not the logistics.

Hosting rules →
  • Run your game, your rules

Pick the pitch, the time, the price, the format. Open it to everyone or just to invitees.

    Creating a game →
  • Keep the roster honest

Furbol chases confirmations in the last hour and clears no-shows so you don't have to.

    Roll call →
  • Get paid cleanly

Players pay through Furbol or at the field, your call. Earnings settle after the game, with no cut taken on the fee.

    Host earnings →

Bring your crew

Play with the people you already play with

Furbol isn't just about finding strangers. It's also built for the group chat you already have — the five mates you always run the Wednesday game with, plus whoever else you drag into it.

  • Pre-register friends

Book a spot for someone who's not on Furbol yet. When they sign up with that phone number, the booking is theirs.

    Pre-registration →
  • Bring guests

Book one-off spots for people you don't need to link to an account — useful for visitors, kids, strangers passing through.

    Guests →
  • Follow your regulars

Followers are the people you play with often. You can book, move, and remove them on your games without asking every time.

    Followers and guests →
  • Sync phone contacts

Let Furbol match your contacts with other Furbol users so your crew is one tap away — without uploading anyone's numbers in plain text.

    Phone contacts →

Common questions

  • What happens if the game doesn't fill up?

A game that enters its last hour without hitting quorum gets cancelled and everyone is refunded — unless the host flagged it as "game on, no matter what".

Game on, no matter what →
  • Do I pay upfront?

If the host takes the fee online, the money is held in your wallet and only charged after the game is played. If they take it at the field, you pay there.

    Paying for online games →
  • What if I can't make it?

You can leave any game at any time. If you leave after the game hit quorum or after you confirmed, you may lose the fee and some reputation.

    Leaving a game →
  • Is Furbol free?

Your first five games are free. After that, a 6-month pass costs roughly two Big Macs. No subscriptions, no auto-renewals, refunded if you don't play in 6 months.

    Trial and pass →
  • Can I book a spot for a friend who's not on Furbol?

Yes. Pre-register them with their phone number and the booking is held for them. When they sign up, the spot becomes theirs.

    Pre-registered players →
  • Can I host my own games?

Any player can host. Pick the pitch, the time, the price, the format, and who can see it. Furbol handles quorum, confirmations, payments, and roll call.

    Hosting a game →
  • Does Furbol sell my data?

No. Furbol earns money only from the pass players buy. No ad-driven feed, no cut from hosts, no data sold to third parties.

The rules of the game

How Furbol works

The Furbol Code is seven chapters. It's the contract between Furbol, players, and hosts — short enough to read in full, strict enough to keep games honest.

  1. I

    Furbol Code

    1. Furbol is a platform where you can find, join, and play football games hosted by other users.

  2. II

    Registration

    1. Users must be older than 14 years old

    2. Users sign-up and sign-in with an SMS verification code sent to their phone number

    3. Users adopt Nicknames that need not to be their real name

    4. Users can deactivate and reactivate their profile at anytime

    5. Users can download their personal data at anytime

    6. Users can delete their profile and their data forever

  3. III

    Hosting A Game

    1. Any user can be a host and host a game

    2. A game requires a minimum and allows for a maximum number of players that can join

    3. A game is said to have hit its quorum the moment it reaches the minimum number of players that can join for the first time

    4. A game is called “sold-out” the moment it reaches the maximum number of players that can join

    5. A public game is a game that anyone can join

    6. A private game is a game that is visible to everyone but only invited users can play

    7. A secret game is a game that only invited users can see and play

    8. Hosts (likely sport centres) can let other hosts buy out and take over their games coming soon

    9. Hosts can move and remove players at will

    10. Players can move or remove other players that are their followers

    11. A host can cancel a game at anytime

    12. When a game is cancelled players are refunded

    13. A game that enters its last hour without having hit the quorum gets cancelled unless the host sets it as "game on, no matter what" mode

    14. If a game in "game on, no matter what" loses quorum during its last hour (after the initial last-hour cut), players who have not confirmed attendance stay on the roster; Furbol does not auto-remove them only because quorum dropped again in that window — there is no second cut that clears unconfirmed players for that reason alone

  4. IV

    Joining A Game

    1. Users can join a game individually

    2. Users can place, move and remove other users (followers) in a game

    3. Users can book spots for external guests in a game (generic guests or phone contacts)

    4. Users can join a game anonymously showing their statistics but not their profile

    5. Players can join a game until the maximum number of players is reached

    6. Players can confirm their attendance for a game they joined on game day

    7. Players can have their attendance confirmed by the host or by other players that they follow

    8. Players having confirmed their attendance for a game cannot book other games for the same day

    9. Players booked in a game that hit the quorum cannot book other games for the same day (except for a game in the same centre and compatible hour)

    10. Players in a game that hits its quorum are removed from all the other games they may have booked for the same day

    11. Players confirming or having their attendance confirmed will be removed from any other game they had booked for the same day

    12. Players can join as many games as they want unless they are "locked" in a game that hit the quorum or they have confirmed their attendance to a specific game for the same day

    13. Players who book a spot or are booked by others for a game in its last hour are assumed to be confirming their attendance

    14. Players who haven't confirmed their attendance for a game that enters its "last hour" before the kick-off will be released (removed) from the game

    15. Players can always leave a game at any time for any reason

    16. Players leaving a game that hit its quorum, or after they had confirmed their attendance, may incur loss of participation fee and a decrease of reputation

  5. V

    Participation Fee

    1. The standard participation fee for a game is measured as the maximum amount to be contributed in the case both goalkeepers have joined and only the required minimum number of players have joined

    2. The final charged fee can be lower than the standard participation fee depending on the actual number of players and goalies on the field

    3. Hosts can require participation fees to be paid online or cash at the field

    4. To join a game that requires participation fees to be paid online, players must have sufficient credit in their Furbol wallet

    5. The online participation fee is charged to players only if and when the game has been played and to those users that left the game when it had hit its quorum or after Confirm (including shame leave where the rules treat it like leaving a committed game)

    6. When players join a game the amount needed to pay the online participation fee is frozen as “pending” in their wallet

    7. To join more than one game in the same day, the amount of credit needed is NOT the sum of all the games’ fees but only the highest fee among those of these games

    8. Players that are removed from a game are not charged their participation fee

    9. If the game is not played players are not charged their participation fee

    10. The game can be sanctioned as "not played" if the majority of players say so in the voting process

    11. Goalkeepers may be allowed to pay a different participation fee or even get paid a hiring fee to play

  6. VI

    Invitations

    1. Invited users can invite other users

    2. Invitations can be sent through the platform or by sharing the “Invitation link” that is available to all invited users

    3. Hosts can put and remove restrictions on access to their games such as age, gender, level, solidity, etc.

    4. When a host puts restrictions on a game Furbol removes players that are not compatible with those restrictions

    5. Hosts can revoke invitations and block users from joining a specific game or all of their games (Blacklist)

    6. Players can, for any reason, report other players as suspicious (SUS). A player that is reported as SUSpicious by the majority of participants can be removed from a game by anyone

  7. VII

    Self-sustenance Model

    1. Furbol aims to be rewarded by the only users it truly wants to benefit: players

    2. After 5 free trial games, users are asked to pay the equivalent of 2 BigMacs circa for a 6-month pass

    3. If a player doesn’t play any game in 6 months the pass is refunded

    4. Users can cover the cost of the pass to other users

    5. The pass is not a subscription and excludes any type of automatic renewals

    6. Furbol will never take a cut from hosts or sport centres or from participation fees

    7. Furbol will never sell its users' data or share it for monetization purposes nor it will bend the user experience for advertising purposes
